Gary Rafaloski, Head Coach/Owner
 
Coach Rafaloski began gymnastics in 1963 and was a former Jr. National Sokol All Around Champion.  Gary was a state finalist in the Pennsylvania High School Championships in 1970 & 1971.  He continued his gymnastics career at Odessa Jr. College in Texas.  Rafaloski became a 3 time All American and All Around Champion.  A full time scholarship recipient through college and is an alumnus of Indiana State University (1975).
 
Coast Rafaloski was selected in 1982 as the USA coach to South Africa where Mary Lou Retton won the Sanlam Cup and the South Africa Cup.  Inventor of the "Retton Salto" and other uneven bar skills, he was a participant staff member in the 1984 Olympic Games held in Los Angeles, California.  Later that year, he was selected as the "Coach of the Year" representing West Virginia in USA Gymnastics' Region VII.
 
Beginning in1987 through the 1989 seasons, he became a WVU Assistant Coach for the Women's Gymnastics Team.  He has also served as the co-owner and Head Girls Coach of the West Virginia Gymnastics Training Center (1989-2004).  He has founded and directed many gymnastic competitions including the Season's Greetings Meet, the Sweetheart Invitational and the Mountain Classic.
 
A West Virginia Board Member from its inception in the mid-90s to the present day, he has helped organize and assist state and regional clinics.  Coach Rafaloski helped lead the West Virginia All Star Team to first place finishes in the National Judges Cup Competitions in Reno, Nevada (1988) and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (1990).  Since then, he has coached several Level 8, 9 and 10 gymnasts to top 3 finishes in many regional competitions as well as qualify to the National Championships.
